Cardiac Ultrasound

Ultrasonography is a diagnostic technique that produces an imaging study by using ultrasound waves creating images of your pet’s internal organs. Cardiac ultrasound specifically allows us to measure heart muscle thickness, chamber diameters, the ability of the heart muscle to contract and evaluate the heart for tumors. If heart disease is present, the results of these measurements will help the doctors determine the current state and monitor progression.
