Our Veterinarian Team

Dr. Harrell is the Medical Director at Bay Breeze Animal Clinic. She has designed BBAC to make you, your pet, and your family feel welcome. Dr. Harrell graduated from Texas A&MUniversity College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998 and has worked in the Coastal Bend region since graduation. Her primary expertise is the treatment of cats and dogs. In addition to being a veterinarian and clinic owner, Dr. Harrell was also an adjunct professor at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Campus, where she taught Animal Science 301 in 2010 and 2011. She strongly believes in supporting the local Rockport Humane Society by providing discounted services to some of their pets before they are adopted out to the public. She has a wonderful husband and two beautiful daughters that provide her with the support and encouragement to make her dream of giving the Rockport Community thorough, high-quality, personalized veterinary care come true.

Receptionist

Paige has been a receptionist in a veterinary clinic since 2007 and has been with us since 2011. Paige is a smiling face when you walk in and a pleasant voice when you call.

Paige grew up in the area and moved to Rockport when she started with us. Her favorite hobby is playing with and showing off her great niece Laney Jade or as Paige calls her, “The Princess.”  She describes herself as a “word nerd” who loves to read, collect maps, and work in her yard.

Hospital Manager

Sadie attended Coastal Bend College and has been practicing in the veterinary field for over five years. She prides herself in taking care of all the little details behind the scene so the doctors and technicians can do what they do best. It just so happens Sadie has the right-shaped head for many hats! She feels the reward of seeing happy customers is indescribable.

In her free time, she loves all things coastal, as long as it is sunny and 75.  Sadie loves the fact that the ocean is right out the back door of the clinic.

Kristin is an excellent technician. She was born and raised in North Texas and moved to Rockport in 2015. She joined Bay Breeze in 2021 and aims to provide the best medical care to all patients, along with awesome customer care to our clients. Before joining Bay Breeze, she worked at the Humane Society and has a passion for working with animals and does not see herself doing anything else.

She loves spending time with her son and her menagerie of animals which includes four dogs (Dozyr, Peanut, Roscoe, Spot), an albino corn snake named Fishstick, and her crazy pig, Wrinkles.

Adrianna has enjoyed helping animals for at least five years—time flies when you are having fun! She is a quick learner and uses her skills to hone in on her dedication to compassionately serving her patients and their human counterparts! In her free time, Adrianna enjoys all things nature and the outdoors. Rockport has perfect weather down by the beach, so who wouldn’t? She especially makes time for my small circus of a Guinea Pig and three digs with My chihuahua, Diojie being the ring leader!

Joseph Medina attended Aransas Pass High School and has four months of experience working as a kennel cleaner in the veterinary field. He takes pride in assisting others and ensuring a clean and comfortable environment for the patients.

In his free time, Joseph enjoys playing games with friends, skateboarding, watching movies, and spending time with his pinscher, Lilybeth!

Veterinary Technician

Hazel Darby is a dedicated Veterinary Technician at Bay Breeze Animal Clinic with over a decade of experience in the veterinary industry. Earning her CVA early in her career, Hazel takes great pride in providing compassionate care for her patients and helping educate clients on how to care for their pets as if they were her own. Outside of work, Hazel enjoys spending time with her four children. When she has free time, she loves going to the beach, fishing, hiking, and spending quality time with her Mini American Eskimo, Loui.

Jacklyn is a dedicated veterinary receptionist with four years of experience in the field. She completed her education at Penn Foster Career College. Jacklyn has a passion for learning and takes pride in making both patients and clients feel comfortable and happy!

In her free time, she loves spending time with her dogs, family and friends. As an outdoor enthusiast, Jacklyn enjoys walking, hiking, kayaking, and working in the yard. She’s also a fan of a good book and enjoys fishing when she gets the chance!
