Meet Our Veterinarians
Dr. Kimberly Harrell
Dr. Harrell is the Medical Director at Bay Breeze Animal Clinic. She has designed BBAC to make you, your pet, and your family feel welcome. Dr. Harrell graduated from Texas A&MUniversity College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998 and has worked in the Coastal Bend region since graduation. Her primary expertise is the treatment of cats and dogs. In addition to being a veterinarian and clinic owner, Dr. Harrell was also an adjunct professor at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Campus, where she taught Animal Science 301 in 2010 and 2011. She strongly believes in supporting the local Rockport Humane Society by providing discounted services to some of their pets before they are adopted out to the public. She has a wonderful husband and two beautiful daughters that provide her with the support and encouragement to make her dream of giving the Rockport Community thorough, high-quality, personalized veterinary care come true.
Dr. Amy Fisher
Dr. Amy Fisher received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University in 2013. She worked in Texas for several years before moving to Florida in 2018 but is now happy to be back in her home state! Dr. Fisher is originally from a tiny town, so she brings a family feel to work and loves getting to know you and your pets. She enjoys the variety that veterinary medicine allows, but has a special interest in soft tissue surgery and complex internal medicine cases.
You can find her cooking, baking, and hanging out with her husband and their two dogs and cats in her spare time.
Meet Our Staff
Paige has been a receptionist in a veterinary clinic since 2007 and has been with us since 2011. Paige is a smiling face when you walk in and a pleasant voice when you call.
Paige grew up in the area and moved to Rockport when she started with us. Her favorite hobby is playing with and showing off her great niece Laney Jade or as Paige calls her, “The Princess.” She describes herself as a “word nerd” who loves to read, collect maps, and work in her yard.
Stephanie began as an extern with us during her final years attending Texas A&M University-Kingsville in their Veterinary Technology Program. After completing her Bachelor’s Degree, she began working with us full-time in the summer of 2020. She loves working with patients during appointments and assisting in surgery. She continues to expand her knowledge in the veterinary field and make a difference in the lives of our patients and clients.
Outside work, Stephanie enjoys reading, binge-watching her favorite shows, and spending time with her scruffy dogs, Oli and Kai, and her two Guinea Pigs Kyo and Yuki.
Lauren attended Everest College and has been practicing in the veterinary field for one year. She prides herself in her ability to care for patients during their most difficult times. Lauren also has a passion for educating clients about all aspects of wellness and sick care.
In her free time, she loves spending time with her family and going to the beach to find the best seashells with her kids.
Lauren’s family is proud to be owned by their three-year-old cat, Stella Maria Elsa. Lauren’s family couldn’t come up with just a single name for such an amazing cat, so they chose to give her three names to match her awesome personality.
Jessica is our lead surgery technician. She has been a technician for 19 years, working in general practice, specialty, and emergency medicine before she made her way to Bay Breeze in 2014.
Jessica is the mother to an amazing son named Carter and her perfect dog, Galoot! When not working, she enjoys fishing and spending time with her family.
Elizabeth has recently joined Bay Breeze Animal Clinic as a receptionist. She previously studied at Texas State University. Elizabeth prides herself on her love for animals and desires to help pet owners understand their pet’s needs. In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys hanging out with her family, her two Dobermans (Rome and Zoe), and watching her son pitch baseball.
Andrea has been working in the veterinary field for over three years. She is the newest veterinary assistant to join our team. She is currently studying at Penn Foster College and intends to get not only her CVA (Certified Veterinary Assistant Certification) but also work towards a Registered Veterinary Technician degree. Andrea prides herself in providing the best service and care for Bay Breeze Animal Clinic’s patients and clients. In her free time, Andrea loves woodworking, gardening, running, and hanging out with her small gang of Bull Terriers (Haddie, Molly, and Riot)!
Makayla has been working at Bay Breeze Animal Clinic as one of our veterinary assistants but also helps Paige up front in the reception area. Makayla previously attended Oklahoma State University and worked in several other clinics before moving to the Rockport area. Ever since Makayla was small, she knew she wanted to work in the veterinary field. She loves being able to care for animals and work with them every day!
When Makayla is not at work, you will find her playing with her two heelers (Dixie and Red), fishing on the bay, cruising around on her motorcycle, or spending time with her family.
Megan has been working as a veterinary technician for four years. Prior to joining Bay Breeze Animal Clinic, Megan worked for a very fast-paced veterinary clinic in San Antonio, where she started as a Kennel Technician and worked her way up to a surgical technician. Megan does aspire to eventually become a veterinarian that specializes in either radiology or exotic animal medicine. Megan strives to make sure all our patients feel comfortable during their visits and that they receive all the detailed medical attention that they deserve.
In her free time, Megan loves to put together puzzles, spend time with her family and enjoy outdoor activities.
She also has her hands full, taking care of her Leopard Gecko (Emmeric) and her dachshund mix (Neville).
Kristin is an excellent technician. She was born and raised in North Texas and moved to Rockport in 2015. She joined Bay Breeze in 2021 and aims to provide the best medical care to all patients, along with awesome customer care to our clients. Before joining Bay Breeze, she worked at the Humane Society and has a passion for working with animals and does not see herself doing anything else.
She loves spending time with her son and her menagerie of animals which includes four dogs (Dozyr, Peanut, Roscoe, Spot), an albino corn snake named Fishstick, and her crazy pig, Wrinkles.
